TERMS AND CONDITIONS – SPEEDY BOAT TRIPS

By booking a trip with Speedy Boat Trips, the person making the booking and all participants included in the booking agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Prices and Payment

All prices are stated in US Dollars (USD), unless otherwise specified.

Full payment of the booking is required before departure. Speedy Boat Trips prefers to receive payment 3–4 days before the scheduled departure date, unless another arrangement has been agreed directly with Speedy Boat Trips.

Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer. Cash payment may be accepted only when agreed in advance with the owner or booking representative.

Credit card payments are subject to an applicable 9% charge. Any additional credit card, payment provider, transaction, conversion or processing fees are the responsibility of the customer and will not be absorbed by Speedy Boat Trips.

For bank transfers, all bank charges, intermediary fees, currency conversion costs and other associated transaction costs are the responsibility of the customer. Speedy Boat Trips must receive the full invoiced amount.

A booking is subject to the payment arrangements communicated by Speedy Boat Trips or its booking representative.

2. Cancellation and Rescheduling by the Customer

All cancellations and rescheduling requests must be communicated directly to Speedy Boat Trips by email, WhatsApp or telephone through the booking representative.

The following cancellation policy applies:

More than 48 hours before departure: Free cancellation or rescheduling. Any amount already paid for the trip will be refunded if the booking is cancelled.
48 to 24 hours before departure: A cancellation fee of 20% of the total booking amount applies.
Less than 24 hours before departure: 100% of the total booking amount will be charged. No refund will be provided.
No-show: 100% of the total booking amount will be charged. No refund will be provided.

Where a refund is applicable, processing times may depend on the payment method and financial institution.

Last-minute bookings are subject to the same cancellation policy, regardless of whether payment has already been completed.

3. Weather and Cancellation by Speedy Boat Trips

The safety of our guests, captain, crew and vessel comes first.

Speedy Boat Trips and its captain reserve the right to delay, change, reschedule, shorten or cancel a trip when weather, sea conditions, mechanical issues or other unforeseen circumstances make it unsafe or unreasonable to continue as planned.

If Speedy Boat Trips decides to cancel a trip before departure, the customer will receive a 100% refund of the trip amount paid. Refunds may take approximately 3–5 business days to appear, depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

If Speedy Boat Trips determines that conditions are safe to operate but a customer personally decides that the sea is too rough or otherwise chooses not to participate, this is considered a customer cancellation. In this situation, 100% of the booking amount remains payable and no refund will be provided.

The captain has final authority regarding whether conditions are safe to operate.

Cancellation during a trip

If Speedy Boat Trips or the captain determines during the trip that it is no longer safe to continue and cancels the trip for safety reasons, Speedy Boat Trips will provide a 100% refund.

This does not apply when a guest personally asks to return early because of seasickness, discomfort, fatigue, personal preference or another reason not caused by Speedy Boat Trips cancelling the trip.

4. Fishing Is Not Guaranteed

Fishing conditions change every day and catching a particular fish—or catching any fish at all—can never be guaranteed.

Our captain and crew will use their experience and make every reasonable effort to provide the best possible fishing opportunity based on the conditions on the day.

However, factors including weather, currents, water temperature, bait movement and fish behaviour are outside our control.

No refund, partial refund or discount will be provided solely because no fish are caught, fewer fish are caught than expected, or a particular species or size of fish is not caught.

This is fishing, not catching.

5. Departure Time and Late Arrival

The trip begins at the scheduled departure time shown on the booking confirmation.

Speedy Boat Trips and its crew will normally be available approximately 15 minutes before departure to welcome guests and prepare for departure.

Guests are responsible for arriving on time.

Late arrival by the customer does not automatically extend the scheduled finishing time of the trip. Any additional time is at the sole discretion of Speedy Boat Trips and may be subject to additional charges.

Failure to arrive may ultimately be treated as a no-show and is subject to the cancellation policy above.

6. Safety, Participation and Captain's Authority

Participation in a boat trip and offshore fishing involves inherent risks associated with boating, the sea, changing weather, moving vessels, fishing equipment and other maritime activities.

All guests board and participate at their own risk.

Guests must follow all safety instructions and directions given by the captain and crew before and during the trip.

The captain has final authority aboard the vessel. Any behaviour that the captain considers unsafe, threatening, reckless or disruptive—or any refusal to follow crew instructions—may result in the trip being modified or terminated.

In such circumstances, the customer is not entitled to a refund.

Participants are responsible for determining whether they are physically capable of participating. Anyone with a medical condition, physical limitation, pregnancy or other concern that could affect their safe participation should seek appropriate medical advice before booking and inform Speedy Boat Trips where relevant to their safety.

7. Liability and Assumption of Risk

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Speedy Boat Trips, its owner, captain, crew and representatives are not responsible for injury, illness, seasickness, loss, theft, damage or other consequences arising from the inherent risks associated with boating, fishing and participation in activities at sea, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Guests participate voluntarily and acknowledge that sea conditions can change and that boats may move unexpectedly due to waves, wakes, wind and weather.

Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care of themselves and following all safety instructions.

Speedy Boat Trips is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings brought aboard. Guests are responsible for securing items such as phones, cameras, sunglasses, fishing equipment, clothing and other valuables.

Speedy Boat Trips is also not responsible for consequential expenses or losses relating to flights, hotels, transportation, accommodation or other travel arrangements resulting from a delayed, rescheduled or cancelled trip, except where required by applicable law.

8. Alcohol and Behaviour

Responsible alcohol consumption is permitted where appropriate.

Excessive drinking, illegal drug use, dangerous behaviour, harassment or any behaviour that could endanger the guest, other participants, crew or vessel is prohibited.

The captain may refuse participation or terminate a guest's involvement in the trip if their behaviour presents a safety concern.

No refund will be provided where participation or a trip is terminated because of a guest's behaviour.

9. Fishing Equipment and Guest Conduct

Guests must use fishing equipment responsibly and follow instructions from the captain and crew.

Fishing equipment, tackle and other property belonging to Speedy Boat Trips must be treated with reasonable care.

Guests may be held responsible, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for damage caused intentionally or through reckless misuse of equipment or property.

10. Fish, Catch and Release

Catching fish is subject to fishing conditions and is never guaranteed.

On private fishing charters, Speedy Boat Trips may fillet part of the catch for guests to take with them, subject to the following limits:

Yellowfin tuna – up to 6 kg
Wahoo – up to 5 kg
Mahi-mahi – up to 2 kg

Fish exceeding these limits remain aboard unless otherwise agreed by Speedy Boat Trips.

All sailfish, blue marlin and white marlin caught aboard Speedy are strictly catch-and-release.

Catch handling and retention remain subject to the captain's instructions and any applicable fishing regulations.

11. Photos and Videos

Photos and videos may be taken during trips and may be used by Speedy Boat Trips for its website, social media, advertising and other promotional purposes.

If you or someone in your booking does not wish to appear in promotional content, please inform Speedy Boat Trips before or at the beginning of the trip.

Where reasonably possible, we will respect this request.

12. Waiver

By booking with Speedy Boat Trips, guests also agree to complete and accept the applicable Waiver provided by Speedy Boat Trips.

The Waiver may be provided through the website, booking process or before departure.

Failure to complete a required Waiver may result in a guest being unable to participate.

13. Changes to the Trip

Routes, fishing locations, FADs, fishing methods and destinations may change depending on weather, sea conditions, current, fishing activity, safety considerations and the captain's professional judgment.

Specific fishing locations, species, routes or catches cannot be guaranteed.

The captain may make reasonable changes to the trip where necessary for safety or to provide the best possible experience under the circumstances.

14. General

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version applicable to a booking will be the version communicated or made available in connection with that booking, subject to applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

By making a booking, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions and are responsible for making the other participants included in their booking aware of the applicable conditions.
